“My family has just come back from doing a spectacular safari in Namibia. The safari took us through Etosha NP, Swakompund, Sesriem and Sossusvlei hosted by guide Steinner. Planning for the trip was smooth as Anna from admin was only one email/message away. Main highlights of the safari are the elephants in Etosha, Etosha pan shimmering in the sun, biking at Swakompund and the alluring beauty of Namibia. Hotel and lodges were nice and had good food. It was my ideal vacation!!!”

Day 1
Arrival in Windhoek

You’ll be met at Hosea Kutako International Airport and transferred to the luxurious Hilton Hotel in the heart of Windhoek. After check-in and a bit of time to unwind, guests arriving before 12:00 midday can look forward to an exciting afternoon visit to the N/a’an ku sê Wildlife Sanctuary, located about 50 km outside the city.

The sanctuary is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of injured and orphaned animals, with the goal of releasing them back into the wild. Here, you’ll meet baboons, caracals, lions, cheetahs, wild dogs, leopards, and smaller mammals, and even observe some of them during feeding time.

We return to Windhoek in the late afternoon. Dinner is at your own expense, with a variety of excellent restaurants to choose from in Namibia’s vibrant capital.

We enter the gates of Etosha National Park, one of Africa’s top wildlife destinations, and begin our first game drive en route to Halali Camp, arriving before sunset. Spanning over 22,000 km², Etosha is home to 114 species of mammals, 350 bird species, countless reptiles, and even one resilient species of fish.

After breakfast at Halali, we reload the vehicle and continue game driving, visiting as many waterholes as possible to maximize our chances of encountering incredible wildlife.

A stop at the spectacular Etosha Pan is a must; its shimmering white surface stretches over 4,700 km² and can be seen from space.
We exit through Anderson Gate just before sunset and continue a short distance to Etosha Village, where you’ll relax in a twin-share chalet with en-suite facilities, and enjoy a delicious bush-style dinner prepared by your guide.

Along the way, we may encounter Himba, Herero, and Damara women in traditional dress, selling handmade crafts and souvenirs at informal roadside stalls.

We stop for a picnic lunch beneath Brandberg, Namibia’s highest peak at 2,573 m, then continue west to reach the Atlantic and the famous Skeleton Coast.

Here we visit the Zeila shipwreck, a haunting relic stranded near Henties Bay in 2008. Our day ends in Swakopmund, a seaside town steeped in history, with its German colonial architecture, ocean breezes, and excellent dining options.

We pause at the Tropic of Capricorn for photos, then journey through the desert’s ever-changing colors and textures until we reach Desert Camp, located just minutes from the entrance to Sossusvlei. Here, you’ll find a pool, bar, and the open sky as your dining room, with dinner prepared over the fire by your guide.

You’ll explore Dead Vlei, a surreal dry pan surrounded by towering dunes and dotted with ancient camelthorn trees. There’s time to wander the area or climb one of the world’s tallest dunes for breathtaking views.
We stop at Dune 45 – a popular photo spot – on the way back, and round out the day with a walk into Sesriem Canyon, carved by the Tsauchab River millions of years ago.
