Do I need travel insurance?
Travel insurance is highly recommended for all trips and required in some destinations, such as Zanzibar. Your policy should cover medical emergencies, trip cancellations, delays, and adventure activities like safaris or trekking. Always check the specific requirements for your destination before traveling.
Do I need a visa for my trip?
Visa requirements depend on your nationality and the country you’re visiting. Many destinations offer eVisas, while others require a visa on arrival or pre-approval. We recommend checking the latest visa regulations well in advance of your trip.
When is the best time to travel?
The best time depends on your destination and the experience you’re looking for. Dry seasons are generally best for safaris and outdoor adventures, while some travelers prefer the low season for fewer crowds and lower prices. Always check the climate and wildlife patterns for your chosen destination.
Is it safe to travel?
Yes, traveling with us is generally safe. We work with trusted local guides and operators to ensure a secure experience. As with any international travel, we recommend following local safety guidelines, keeping valuables secure, and staying informed about your destination.
What payment methods are accepted?
Most lodges, hotels, and tour operators accept major credit cards, but in some remote areas, cash (USD, EUR, or local currency) may be preferred. ATMs are available in major cities, but we recommend bringing some cash for tips and smaller expenses.
What’s included in my tour package?
Most tour packages include accommodation, meals, guided activities, park fees, and transportation during the trip. Flights, personal expenses, drinks, and optional excursions are usually not included unless stated otherwise. Please check your specific itinerary for details.
What happens if I need to cancel my trip?
Cancellation policies vary depending on the tour and how far in advance you cancel. Refunds are often partial or unavailable close to departure. We strongly recommend travel insurance to cover cancellation fees due to unforeseen circumstances.
What should I pack for my trip?
Packing depends on your destination and activities. For safaris, neutral-colored clothing and sun protection are key, while for trekking, warm layers and sturdy boots are essential. What are the tipping guidelines?
Tipping is customary but not mandatory. Suggested amounts vary by destination and service:

  • Safari guide/driver: $10-20 per person per day
  • Camp/lodge staff: $5-10 per day
  • Porters (trekking): $5-15 per day

Tipping can be done in local currency or USD, and envelopes are often provided at lodges.
