We offer training and workshops with the goal that our entire team works toward earing their Sustainability Coordinator Certificate through the Travelife’s program.

The Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) oversees the GSTC Criteria, which act as international benchmarks for sustainable travel and tourism. These criteria encompass sustainable management, social aspects, culture and community, and environmental impact. GSTC provides global accreditation for organizations certifying sustainable tourism, and World Adventure Tours became a GSTC member in 2022.

Why MKPS?

Mount Kilimanjaro Porters Society (MKPS) improves the working conditions of porters on Mount Kilimanjaro. We ensure fair wages, proper equipment, and good working conditions for porters, while supporting educational programs on health, safety, and financial management.
