Activity Description
After breakfast you’ll be transferred to Stone Town through the spice plantation for a two-hour spice tour. Experience the spices in their original form, see how they are grown, and learn about their uses. Some happen to be used in medicine, cosmetics, and herbs. We will drive to Stone Town where you can have lunch in a local restaurant at own arrangements, and then proceed for a guided walking tour through the city, visiting the historical sites through the narrow alleyways in the old Stone City.
Later in the afternoon, we will sail to Prison Island by using the traditional sailing dhow for a tour of the island, which used to be a prison in 1860 by the first British minister and now stands as a home of giant tortoises living for more than 120 years. It is the best spot for swimming and snorkeling. We will sail back to the ocean and see the lovely scenery of Stone Town, and then drive back to your hotel.
