November - May
If you’re visiting in the wetter months during the period between November until May, you’ll typically have a greener landscape and slightly lesser crowds. During this period the crater transforms into a beautiful, lush landscape and raises the water level of Lake Magadi which attracts flamingos.
June - October
If you’re visiting during the dryer months during the period between June until October, the grass is a lot shorter which makes it much easier to spot wildlife. This period is typically the most popular time to visit which can make the crater slightly crowded at times.
