What do you mean by "Game Drives"?
Game drives involve taking a guided tour through wildlife reserves in custom-built vehicles designed for optimal wildlife viewing. The vehicles typically have pop-up roofs and large windows to enhance the viewing and photography experience.
What vehicles are used for safari?
The vehicles used are custom-built 4WD Toyota Land Cruisers, equipped with pop-up roofs for unobstructed views and enhanced photography opportunities. These vehicles are specially maintained to ensure comfort during safaris.
What about wildlife at camps?
Wildlife may roam around camps and lodges, especially in areas integrated with the natural environment. Guests are advised to follow safety guidelines and remain within designated areas unless accompanied by a guide.
Tipping etiquette for safari guides
Tipping is appreciated at the end of your safari. A tip of $35-50 per day per car for your driver/guide is recommended. For camping safaris, tipping around $10 per day for the cook is customary.
What’s included in a safari package?
Typically, a safari package includes accommodation, meals, park fees, guided game drives, and transportation during the safari. However, flights, personal expenses, and travel insurance are usually not included.
Does the wildebeest migration take place at the same time in both Kenya and Tanzania?
Yes, the wildebeest migration occurs between Tanzania’s Serengeti and Kenya’s Masai Mara. The exact timing depends on rainfall patterns, but it generally happens from June to October.

What route should I pick on Mount Kilimanjaro?

How fit do I need to be for hiking in Tanzania?
Moderate fitness is required for hiking in Tanzania. Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, in particular, requires endurance due to high altitudes and steep ascents.
What happens if I encounter problems during my climb on Mount Kilimanjaro?
If you experience difficulties, you can either descend to a lower altitude for acclimatization or return to a base camp for recovery. Guides are trained to handle emergency situations.
