An ideal trek for those looking to explore the beauty of the Himalayas, particularly the Everest Region. You get to learn and explore The Tibetan Buddhist culture of the Sherpas within the Everest region and the wealthy Hindu convention and UNESCO world heritage sites within the Kathmandu Valley. We utilize an arrangement of lodges which offer a better degree of consolation than the normal teahouse fashion lodges within the area. Day 1

Arrival Kathmandu

You arrive in Kathmandu and will be transferred to hotel. Evening is free and you can spend it the way you want to or you can meet up with the leader/guide so you can get to know each other.

Day 2

Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu 

In the morning there will be a full trip briefing. After breakfast there will be a sightseeing tour around the Kathmandu Valley. You can visit the monkey temple at Swayambunath, take rounds around one of the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudha and visit Pashupatinath the most important and holy temple in the valley. You will also be able to visit Durbar Square where the old Royal Palace is located with its intricate wood carving. The area is filled with numerous temples and images, also there are narrow alleys that leads away from the Square in all directions which are filled with variety of shops and stalls.

Day 3

Fly to Lukla 2840m, Trek to Phakding 2610m 

Today morning we will take a short but spectacular mountain flight to Lukla (2800m), and after that set off on the first short leg of our trek towards small settlement of Phakding. We ascend northwards into the valley of DudhKosi, then descend from a small plateau into the forest valley and now the trail crosses several tributary streams and get to see some amazing views before reaching the settlement of Phakding (2652m).

Day 4

Trek to Namche 3445m 

From Phakding we cross the DudhKosi river over the suspension bridge. The trail undulates through magnificent forest of rhododendron, pine, fir trees and follow the trial towards the valley of Benkar, we cross DudhKoshi river and pass Chumoaover to Monjo which is the entrance to the Everest National Park. We then descend down to cross another suspension bridge and pass Jorsale (2805m). From here we walk alongside the river and cross the west fork of the BhoteKosi river, then a steep climb that takes us to the homeland of Sherpa- Namche Bazar. During this steep climb about 300m up the ascend you can see the first view of the Everest summit behind the great ridge of Nuptse-Lhotse. Namche bazaar is the administrative center of the Khumbu region and the headquarter for Mount Everest National Park. Namche is a prosperous Sherpa village and an important trade center here you can buy or rent any equipment that you may need.

Day 5

Acclimatization/ Namche 

The day will be spent exploring Namche, in order for you to acclimatize. There are plenty of things you can do here. We can climb out of Namche to the small airstrip of Shyangboche and further to the spectacular situated Everest View Hotel an ideal place for tea break. On a clear day you can enjoy the Magnificent view of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse and other Himalayan giants. After this we descend down to the village of Khumjum which is a beautiful Sherpa settlement village and here you can visit Sir Edmund Hillary School. Kunde village and Edmund Hillary Hospital lies a little further along the path. We return back to Namche for the night.

Day 6

Trek to Thame 3800m

Todays trail takes us steeply out of Namche and into a side valley on wonderful high trails and beautiful views. After a couple of hours after walking out from Namche we pass through Thamo and if you wish we can visit a small Nunnery there a home to some Tibetan Nuns. From Thamo we continue the climb for a while and then we descend down to cross the bridge over the river that brings us to the final steep climb that brings us to Thame( 3800m).

Day 7

Trek to Namche

We retrace our steps back to Namche. Spend your evening the way you like.

Day 8

Trek to Phakding 

From Namche we steep descend down to the DudhKosi and follow the trail back to the lodge at Phakding. We will spend a night here.

Day 9

Trek to Lukla

We will again retrace our steps back through the rhododendron and pine forest to Chaunrikhara. We will leave the main trail and climb a short distance to the air strip of Lukla. Overnight stay at Lukla.

Day 10

Fly to Kathmandu

After breakfast we fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to the Hotel. Rest of the day is free for you to spend as you wish.

Depart Kathmandu

After breakfast, our representative will see you off to airport.
